The Great Gatsby. Difficult question if your up for the challenge:)?

Most of the characters in the novel put on false fronts in order to conceal their imperfections. Now im asking you to expand on that idea by identifying three characters who put on the these masks, their motivations for doing this and the reprecussions they suffer because of it. Not for the weak of mind ;D
