Is it possible to believe in God but think that Man wrote the bible...?

It says in the bible something about stoning your daughter to death and selling her to slavery, how gay people should be put to death and how eating shellfish (oysters, shrimps, prawns, lobster, scallop, mussels, etc...) is an abomination. I believe in God and I'm a Christian, I pray all the time but I don't take the bible TOO literally because it sometimes spreads hate.
