I broke ^ wit mi b/f hu i rly like cuz i didnt want to hurt my bestie who's liked him forever. was i right to?

my bestest friend kayla likes this guy, and i went out wit him twice. both times he broke up wit me. then, i found out she likes this other guy, and he said some crap about her behind her back, and i knew about it, but i still went out wit him after that. she told me that it rly made her feel like a was stabbing her in the back, and i kno how dat feels so i broke up wit him. but now i regret it cuz i feel rly bad cuz i rly like him n he rly likes me n all. what should i do?
